Technical Requirements

For LocalMaps implementation, the below given are key requirements. Eagle as part of the implementation, can provide required assistance to ensure that the environment is ready for LocalMaps installation.

Standard Application Requirements

  • ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS (11.x or above)
    • There are known limitations in certain ArcGIS Enterprise versions that may impact LocalMaps when configured with them. For more information, refer to the LocalMaps known issues page for more information.
    • LocalMaps may function when connected to earlier ArcGIS Enterprise versions (e.g., 10.9.x); however, these configurations have not been tested or officially supported by the LocalMaps team. For the best experience and full compatibility when using ArcGIS Enterprise, we recommend using the latest long‑term supported (LTS) version available from Esri.
  • Current Esri Licensing (maintenance or ELA)
  • Web maps created
  • Relevant Map Services published
  • LocalMaps Group created
  • Add Data Group created

Optional

  • Custom Print and Print Layout geoprocessing service setup on ArcGIS Server (Shared publicly)
  • Custom Geometry Service setup on ArcGIS server (Shared publicly)

System Requirements

We recognise that user and business needs can vary. However, it is essential to consider these requirements when determining hardware needs to ensure the application meets performance and scalability expectations.

Web Server

  • 16 GB RAM minimum memory
  • 2 x 1.6 GHz CPU
  • Windows Server 2022 Standard or above (With April 2024 update or above)
  • IIS Role Enabled
  • .NET Core 8.0 Hosting Bundle installed (must be 8.0)
  • Node v20 or later installed
  • Web server must be configured for TLS 1.2 or higher
  • Internet connection
  • SSL Certificates (for HTTPS access)

The application can be installed if there is an existing server that meets the above-mentioned specifications. Note that we only support Windows OS versions that are within active vendor support.

Database Requirements

  • PostgreSQL 16.x or above (Will be installed as part of the deployment)

  • Chrome 127.x (64 bit) or above
  • Edge 127.x (64 bit) or above
  • Firefox 127.x (64 bit) or above
  • Safari 16.5 or above
