Switch Map Widget

The Switch Map is a way to change to another map in in the viewer without having to go back to the gallery. When used, the widget will switch to another map while maintaining the current extent. Switch Map works with both public and secure maps. If you are logged in to LocalMaps and have additional content shared with you, these maps will also be available in the Switch Map panel.

How to use the Switch Map widget

  1. Open the Switch Map widget

  2. Map thumbnails and descriptions are displayed in the panel.

  4. Click on a map to switch to it or filter down the available maps by entering a title or tag in the search map feature.

  5. The map will reload the chosen map while maintaining the user’s current extent.

  6. Click X when done to close the Switch Map Window.
